The Alliance Française de Chicago is proud to be Illinois’ only official French examination center. All certifications are designed and awarded by France Éducation International (FEI), an official department of the French Ministry of Education whose internationally recognized tests assess knowledge of the French language, or by the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Paris Ile-de-France (CCIP).
Exams Currently Offered
TEF Canada
The TEF Canada is mandatory for economic immigration programs and Canadian citizenship.
TCF TP
The TCF TP is a standardized and graded French language test.
TCF IRN
The TCF IRN is for persons applying for French nationality or long-term residency.
DELF / DALF (Tout Public)
The DELF and DALF allow you to officially prove your French language level.
DELF Junior
The DELF Junior is adapted from the DELF tout public and is suited for teenagers between 12 and 18 years old in middle and high-school.
DELF Prim
The DELF Prim is an official certificate awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the proficiency in French as a Foreign Language of children ages 8 to 12.
TAPIF
TAPIF (Teaching Assistant Program in France) is a competitive program managed by France Éducation international and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, and requires a minimum B1-level proficiency in French.
