Thanks to the vision and commitment of Chicago philanthropists of the 1890s, the Alliance Française de Chicago has been an integral part of the city’s educational and cultural community for 125 years.
Because many of our programs are funded 100% by donations, such as the Educational Outreach Program, we rely on contributions from our valued community to develop and support our diverse offerings.
For decades, our public spaces — including the library, classrooms, courtyard, salon, and more — have provided our community members with a place to learn and connect with one another. With your support, we are able to maintain these spaces for generations to come.
Our non-profit organization does not receive any funds from the French Government; in fact, 60% of our budget comes from French classes and 40% from donations.
