It was here that Frank Meier invented the Ritz Sidecar in 1932, the most expensive cocktail in the world and Bertin, Head Barman and friend of Hemingway, created the famous Bloody Mary here for Hemingway.
In the line up of great Ritz barmen, Colin Field, creator of cocktails and author of the successful book “The Cocktails of the Ritz Paris”, excels each evening at the Hemingway Bar. Voted best barman in the world twice over by the magazine Forbes, and overflowing with talent and creativity, Colin has become the confidant of the great of this world.
