Colin Field, best barman in the world On May 16, guests will begin the evening with famous original cocktails expertly created and prepared by Colin Field in person. Writers, movie stars, fashion icons, designers and musicians have always headed to the Ritz to taste the famous cocktails of the Hemingway Bar. The bar has been home to some of the greatest barmen. It was here that Frank Meier invented the Ritz Sidecar in 1932, the most expensive cocktail in the world and Bertin, Head Barman and friend of Hemingway, created the famous Bloody Mary here for Hemingway. In the line up of great Ritz barmen, Colin Field, creator of cocktails and author of the successful book “The Cocktails of the Ritz Paris”, excels each evening at the Hemingway Bar. Voted best barman in the world twice over by the magazine Forbes, and overflowing with talent and creativity, Colin has become the confidant of the great of this world.
