“The Small Room at the Top of the Stairs”. Grace finds herself irresistibly drawn to a mysterious and forbidden room.

Playwright, Carole Fréchette was born in Montréal and is a graduate of the National Theatre School. Still based in Montréal, she has been a force in Québec theatre for over 25 years. Her work, translated into 18 languages, has been staged all over the world, from Montréal to Reykjavik, and Paris to Tokyo. Fréchette is also the author of children’s novels and translations.

Director, Elizabeth Carlin Metz is the Artistic Director of Vitalist Theatre, founded by Liz and executive producer Robin Metz in 1997. Vitalist Theatre has since its inception been a critically acclaimed and award winning company including the After Dark Award for Mother Courage (Direction, Actress, and Composition), A Passage to India (All Around Technical Achievement), and the Jeff for Best Supporting Actress for The Night Season.
